We highly value continuous learning and fostering a collaborative environment at Planet Argon. One of the ways we achieve this is through monthly Luncheon Learn presentations. These sessions offer us an opportunity to come together in an informal setting and share knowledge or skills we’re passionate about. The goal isn’t to deliver a polished seminar — this isn’t a TED talk!. Instead, the goal is to foster dialogue, learn from one another, and cultivate a sense of community.
Whether you’re showcasing a new tool you’ve found useful, discussing a hobby you love, or explaining a technical concept you’re learning, Luncheon Learns pave the way for creativity and camaraderie.
Preparing for a Luncheon Learn Presentation
Section titled “Preparing for a Luncheon Learn Presentation”So you’ve signed up to give a presentation during an upcoming Luncheon Learn – great! Now what?!
Before you freak out too much, remember that Luncheon Learn events are a time for the team to gather informally and share information about things they are working on or passionate about. This presentation can be as informal or experimental as you like. The only requirement is that you have fun and share a sincere interest with the team.
Presentation’s Past
Section titled “Presentation’s Past”If you’d like to get an idea of the type of presentations shared in the past, you can watch recordings of previous Luncheon Learn events here.
Presentation Formats
Section titled “Presentation Formats”As earlier stated, these presentations can be as informal or academic as you like. Previous presenters have used Google Slides, photo montages, video clips, or simply explained a topic in a conversational way.
If you’d like to use Google Slides, we have a Presentation Template you can copy and use here.
Finally, if you are stuck or feeling nervous, please reach out to your manager for some tips or general encouragement. These are supposed to be fun, not feel like a chore!
