  • Webinars, workshops, conferences, industry publications.
  • Industry blogs, books, online courses.
  1. Courses:

    • Use your allocated budget for any course that benefits professional growth.
    • Speak to your manager about utilizing funds.
  2. Conferences:

    • For Local Events: Simply use the allocated budget.
    • For Non-Local Conferences:
      • Discuss time off, flights, and accommodation with your manager.
      • Submit request detailing: conference dates, name, topics, flight & hotel estimates, and the professional growth benefits.
      • Use Planet Argon credit card for approved costs. For costs beyond the initial estimate, seek approval.
      • Note: Stay near the conference location. Ground travel isn’t reimbursed.
  3. Books:

    • Purchase books that contribute to professional growth using the allocated budget. Remember to keep records of purchases.
  • Use Harvest, log under [PA-0011] Professional Development > Engineering.
  • Mention the conference name in the Notes section.
  • Discuss and get approvals for expenses beforehand.
  • If unexpected expenses arise and are approved for reimbursement, follow the standard Planet Argon reimbursement process.
  • Share knowledge with peers.
    • High-level overview at luncheon.
    • Write a blog post or host a workshop.
