Compensation Bands
We consider all roles at Planet Argon important, and this is reflected in our single compensation strategy. There is a $25,000 range within each tier, and a $5,000 overlap between each tier. This approach allows for the following:
- Increased compensation for engineers as they move through their role-advancement plans
- Ability for hiring managers to hire or promote an engineer to a certain tier even if they don’t fully embody the role yet
- Compensation transparency and equity across the engineering team
- Freedom for engineers to explore different stacks and technologies or request title changes without fearing compensation loss
