Fast-Track Fundamentals Program
The Planet Argon Fast-Track Fundamentals Program aims to equip interns and Software Engineer I developers with the software development skills necessary to succeed at Planet Argon, including those that they might not have been exposed to in their bootcamp education or self-taught curriculum.
Main Differences between Scheduled Advancement and Fast-Track
Section titled “Main Differences between Scheduled Advancement and Fast-Track”- Scheduled Advancement: Takes longer as no billable time is removed and focuses on growth through project work.
- Fast-Track: Follows a set growth plan aimed at building foundational skills. It’s mainly based on the popular Learn Enough courses.
Evaluation of Current Skill Level
Section titled “Evaluation of Current Skill Level”Before embarking on the Fast-Track program, an evaluation is performed to gauge the developer’s current skills. This includes:

Milestones and Evaluation Guidelines
Section titled “Milestones and Evaluation Guidelines”The team member and their manager will determine specific milestones, both dates and deliverables, for each program section.
Program-specific check-ins will be included in regular 1:1s to discuss progress, evaluate deliverables, and resolve blockers.
Compensation Considerations
Section titled “Compensation Considerations”Upon completing each milestone, an evaluation will be done to determine if the team member should move up in their current compensation band.
